Shop around, they all look the same but they are not.
Look for welded frames and heavy gage link with plenty of fasteners.

I have "Options Plus" Platinum Series kennels built in Ohio and they're nice. I had to paint them after 6 years but like them anyway--They're Gorilla Proof

I also have the Platinum series kennels from Options Plus... I have had multiple dog kennels over the years and these have stood up to the test..
Like beardog, I have had to paint the outdoor kennels after a few years but they are durable, cost efficient and the costomer service is terrific. I would recommend them to anyone.

Mason Kennels are another option but they are not as cost efficient IMO..  All going to depend on your budget and needs. .

Options Plus is definitely a pleasure to work with. The kennels can be pricey compared to the local hardware store; but worth it.

Hardwrae stores and pet stores sell usually only low quality kennels which will not make you happy and dog may get away! Any local fence company will build you what you want. ( Sometimes fence company has panels which someone did not pick up and you can get them for fracture of the price). But if you do that do not compromise on quality!

If you get one build custom, ask for the heaviest gauge chain link which you can afford. (10 gagge is great 12 is OK). Tennis chain link fenced is really expensive but really supper. ( The squares in the fence are small and dog can not grab onto them as easily and brake his teeth.)
Make the kennel elongated rather then square if you want the dog to exercise there. If you want the dog to be more calm make it square.  Minimum is 5x8 feet. but 12 x5 is better. For square kennel use 8x8 feet.
Put the kennel on concrete which is sloping (!!!) so that the water runs off and make sure that the panels have about 2 inches suds on the bottom part so that you can squeegee the moisture under it.  Panels should also have horizontal brace in the middle and if you want to get really bomb proof you should have also vertical brace in the middle. Attach the chain link to the braces too.
Also I would use an upper cover panel so that the dog can not jump on a dog house and jump out.  Make sure that part of  kennel has shade all day  and the dog house is build well. I recommend doggloo.  For shade excellent choice is if you can get somewhere discarder panel of cedar fence and put it over the chainlink panel on top. . If you living in cold areas I would build dog house with "L" shaped vestibule and and top on hinges which you can open and clean inside. Idf you build heavy custom dog house put in on little stilts to keep the moisture away and you can get under to clean it.
Use kennel latch and put there in the little hole a snap so that the intelligent dog can not open even dog proof latch.  Just that alone will save you a lot of headache and potentially heartache.
One more advice.  Keep your dog with you as much as possible and in the house. Use the kennel only if you must like when you go to work.
Good lock. Contact me if you have more question.
 Love Your dog.

Be aware when using a kennel purchased from a local hardware store/tractor supply.  A friend of mine had one of the AKC series of kennels, the dog -  Great Pyr pushed the bottom of the gate out, got his head out and died as a result.  I am not saying the kennels are not to be used but be sure you put an extra latch on it to keep the this from happening to you.

Yes, if you have powerful dog put the latch in the middle of the gate or  use two latches. If you use sturdy gate then only one latch in the middle is OK. The safe gate is one where if you can pull on it with  all your might of a strong man the latch will not rotate because it is not tight enough or gate will flex. Also check this periodically since  the latch may get lose for one reason or another. Best is if the latch is welded to the gate.
