So I'm 29wks pregnant and my german shepherd, Tessa (DDR/Czech girl) ate my prenatal vitamin. Pout I accidentally dropped my prental bottle, scattering the pills all over the floor and here she comes runn' like she's found candy! LOL! I think she wants to be a mommy....Smile

She will be in another year and a half hehehe

Thats crazy!! Me & my girl came home the other day & her bottle of prenatels was chewed up on the floor. She had the gummie kind. She left them on the edge of the counter & my girls got them. The bottle was half full. So far no side effects.

I have a female that I am hoping to get pregnant very soon and she has been on Elevit women's vitamins for a couple of months (recommenden by a vet) 1/2 tab a day.

You have a beautiful girl by the way.

Lol ^^^ Ate all the gummy vitamins huh? Too funny!
We're looking to breed Tessa in 2013 once she passes her OFA for hips and elbows.  Here's her pedigree: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=731208

I have another ddr/czech male also a dark black sable that we plan to breed her to.

 Hi,
I'm not a regular poster, but I thought I'd chime in here. Both Vitamin D and Iron can be toxic to dogs. Obviously it depends on what the dose per pill is and how many pills your girl ingested...
Might not be a bad idea to figure out about how many pills she ate and contact your vet in the morning.
If you don't want to wait, ASPCA has a 24hr Poison hotline, you can find the number on the ASPCA website.  I don't mean to sound alarmist, but working in a Vet's office, I have seen vitamin overdoses.

You have a beautiful dog!

Thanks for your concern. She only ate one pill. We got them all up just as we were going for the last one and she grabbed it. She's fine. She hasn't had any reaction to it. This happened three days ago. And thank you for your kind compliment.

That's good to hear.  Sorry, it sounded like your girl had eaten more... Glad all is well!
