My GSD is 5 months old, and her ears are standing, but when she is running or jumping her ears flop at the tips... Is that normal? I know she is starting to teeth and that it can have an effect on her ears, but I am curious if she may have solf/floppy ears or if they will harden after teething?

Just curious, is your dog AKC registered? I notice what looks like "brindle-ish" coloring where the brown is on your dog.

No she isn't AKC registered. When I got her I was told she was purebred, but did some digging and found out her Sire was Black & Tan Rich Saddleback (AKC reg.), Dam was Dutch/ German Shepherd mix. I didn't care if she had papers, I only wanted a good family pet and campanion. I really love that she has such unique markings, I think she is gorgeous.

It sounds normal to me, she looks to have some pretty big ears too :) Give her some really good bones to chew, they will help with the ears. Once she starts teething her ears may go up and down, and that is normal, and they may not go down at all. When my dogs were teething none of them had their ears go down. Good luck with her she looks really cute!!

Soft tips at this age is very normal.......most stiffen, some don't.
She is beautiful!
