Anyone have any suggestions when it comes to buying fur savers? I'm looking at the Herm Sprenger fur savers, but not sure what link length (short vs. medium) or thickness (3mm vs. 4mm). Any thoughts?

Measure your Dog's Neck, Then call Jim Hill of www.Hallmarkk9.com. He can make sure you get what you need.

We love the finger saver (or short link) fursavers. They are great for me since I am one of those people whose fingers are small enough to get lodged in the links of the traditional fursavers.

LOL I think it's a good thing you said to not let the dog wear it when welding. Otherwise................

A funny thing about the name, they still pull fur out, go figure.

They do?

Oh yes,
not as bad as other collars but yes they do pull fur.

May I suggest measuring your dog's head and not his neck?

I've not had them pull hair out, but if the dog wears it for any length of time it does break the hair :(
