There are lots of cool events to take your dogs to, but most require them to be "current" on vaccinations. For those of us that dont vaccinate every year, does that mean we have to miss out?...

See I've never got that... Why would my unvaccinated dogs pose a risk to everyone else vaccinated dogs.  Or is there something they aren't telling folks ;)

This matter should be reported to the Canadian "Andrew Jones".

NigerDeltaMann,
please tell us what you really want to express or stop posting overtones that might accuse onybody for wrong.
The vaccinations that should have been given to the dogs who went to the Ukraine a´ren´t common in most of the other nations and there was given no helpful information by those who were and are responsible.

It happens here in FL all the time. Try to board a dog without every vac known to man. I can't even get a vet to give my dog a 3 year rabies vaccine.

My vet gives me weird looks and gets mad when I won't bring my adults in for vaccines every year.  If this tells you guys anything, the only time my dogs have EVER been sick .......... Is when they got kennel cough a few weeks AFTER getting the vaccine.....Go figure......

I'm curious as to those of you who do Schutzhund.....  Does your club require your dogs to be updated on shots?  I don't compete, but I know the local club here does require dogs to be update on all shots.

Just an FYI, a 3 year rabies vaccine is the same as a 1 year, there is only one vaccine.

by Blitzen on 19 October 2011 - 12:10

Well yeah I know that, BUT if it's given from a bottle that is labeled "one year" that is what the cert is going to say. It's a scam, Dude,

by Blitzen on 19 October 2011 - 12:10

Our club does not ask for proof of up-to-date vacs.

My vet only gives rabies once every 3 years.
