A female yes.  It will not be large enough for most males, although you could squoosh one in for a short trip like to the vet or ?  but not for long periods of time.

yea my boy would curl up in a crate that size for rideing to schutzhund but i never left him in it for our long trips.

The Vari-Kennel 500 is much better suited for a male.

If just for the car, yes a 500 for an average male and some females can be squished into a 400 but again only for travel. If you plan to use them in the house while you are gone (such as a full work day) then you need to go at least 1 bigger for each,  700 for a male and 500 for a female.

@all
My dog will have big room 4ft by 8ft in the house and have run as well

i just need it in the car to the schutzhund field and maybe it takes 10 hours total maksimum in a day of training
so now my question is it the male and female is ok for the vari kennel 400 for 10 hours trip?

no, it's not sufficient - you need a 500!

I agree with T-N-T, you will need a 500 unless you have a 50 pound female.

I like the 700. Doesn't fit in a car, or the expedition we have, but you could break it down and set it up when you get to training..... maybe. : ) It is kinda big.
