Sent this information to a friend who lives in the area, had a gsd that passed away and has been considering getting another one. Keep your fingers crossed!

If someone can pull for me I can take him TODAY!! I'm about 2 hours away but I can't drive all the way down there to find that he has been pulled/adopted!!

Got a message from my friend--they will consider taking him. Melba, have you emailed the shelter? I will try to email them and see if he is still there. It is probably 45 minutes or so from me.

I have not emailed them. I don't know how they would feel about letting a private party rescue because I am not a rescue per se. I have
come up against road blocks before concerning my un altered animals. We're not breeding anymore, but still training and hopefully competing
later this year. I do have open kennel space available and will see that he has thorough evals, extensive training and thorough medical work
up before being adopted out. If you or someone you know can pull him, I can be down tomorrow any time to pick him up and reimburse for
any fees, of course.

Heard from the shelter--his name is River and he is still available, but have had several show an interest in him. I'm waiting to hear back from my friend. I also posted it on a southeast rescue group I'm familiar with on facebook.

i am about 2.5 hrs away also...so I have no way of double checking if he is there and if I get him it will be 4 hr drive for you to get him from me...sorry..
