I hate the little nylon harness for puppies where can you get a good leather harness fo a puppy made like a good adult harness. I like there heads free when doing rag work and such.
Some thing with a nice chest plate to absorb shock and spread out pressure.

Bob- I'm not sure if this helps or not. If you can't find a supplier then would you considering getting one made?
I recall that this thread (one of many) discusses where folks like to order their leather training items.

Fullgripgear does custom sizes for leather harnesses.

The Wag does custom work too (expensive but beautiful).
http://www.thewagcanada.com/ (note that they have 2 online stores with different products- confusing)
Similiarly, you could get one made from someone in the Amish community. I can give you the contact information (phone only) for a person if you don't know someone in your area (or you prefer not to use ebay). (I'm in Ontario.)
Lastly, I'm not sure if a small dog harness would work or not (3 sizes).

I got a nice harness off of ALM I am going to have to get back to you on a link. It was too big for the puppies until they were almost 4 months. I am curious to hear what kind you do end up getting. I do not have small puppies.

It is strange how tastes and ideas vary in different countries, Over this side they hate the harness of any kind as a whole, i have never seen one dog working with a harness on over here, i bought one for Izzy when she was a puppy, it was a soft felt type harness i used it for 5 minutes and took it off i posted it off gratis along with a larger one i bought for when Izzy grew on, so two new harness for me a waste of money, but they did a good turn to someone who used to post on this Forum from the USA i think it personal preference but they do not like them over here, they like to feel the dogs head through the line and the control on the dog a harness does not do that, but everyone to there own, Good to here the Pups are going on well

Hey Steve:
The pups are doing fine, growing like weeds. I think it is all personnel preference as far as Harness versus Collar. I,ve ended up keeping 3, 2 males a 1 female for now and I like to tie them out to posts I have in the yard in a semi circle and play rag from the center or with a flirt pole. The harness helpes absorb impact into there body and not into there neck at this age and since i,m the only one at home working with them for me the harness just works better for now.
It,s personnel preference in my opinion I don,t think either is wrong as they get older I also like to back tie them on the harness with a collar on with a lead depending on the work being done.
I,ve found with my dogs those started working in harness,s seem to devlope a better strike on the sleeve but again it,s all personnel preference. How is that pup of yours coming?

I use this one from Bridgeport Equipment. I have a size Large. I added some holes on a few of the straps and have used this harness on dogs 4 months to adult. That way I don't have to buy multiple ones. I know many people who use this exact harness, some have had it for 10 years and multiple dogs. It's not too expensive either. I like the strong handle for doing some other types of protection work where I am close with my dog. I don't use a harness for my current dog but a lot of my club members borrow mine.

Three at once Bob i know what you mean you must be having some fun with that little bunch and as they grow they will keep you on your toes for sure.
I go and pick Hektor up early in next month, it will be good to get occupied again
Keep the Pic's coming of the Pups as they grow up

I use a harness on the pole..other than that I use a leather collar and prong collar. Most handlers can't control there dog with a leash and collar let alone the harness. Gives the dog too much room to spin and what not.
