A few years ago I adopted my GSD, Enny vom Durnachtal, from a rescue group. I don't know anything about bloodlines or pedigrees so I was hoping that some of the knowledgeable folks on this site could assist me.
I was able to find her on this site: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=124407
But I have no idea what any of this means. I'm just curious as to her background. Does she come from good lines? Are her lines working or show? She is really a wonderful dog. I've only had the pleasure of owning her for the last 3 years - she is now over 12 years of age.
Any comments or information that you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

im not a god on reading pedigrees and knowing whats good but she seens like a very good dog. show lines im sure of. she does have a better pedigree than alot of dogs i have seen in show lines where i live. and thankyou for rescueing a shepherd soo many people get them and then abandon them its horrid...
for instance at my vet the other day a lady came in with a GSD puppy and a older one. she wanted to get the shots for the pup and the other one put to sleep because it was too old and wouldent do what she wanted. this dog was like maby 6 years old the vet told her he advised against it and asked if he could rehome the dog the lady insisted but the vet refuzed and she now has a good home with the vet where she will live out her days. gah people can be soo cruel.

Yes, you girl has a very good pedigree. Why don't you post her photograph?

Now you can't talk about a golden oldie and not post her picture :)

Thank you all for your responses. I really appreciate your help. By popular demand, below are a couple photos. The second one is Enny with her rottie "brother" and "sister." All three were adopted from shelters at different times and all three are "golden oldies." Enny is 12 1/2, Taffi (female rottweiler) is 13 1/2, and Archie (male rottweiler) is the youngster of the group at 10.

Enny has some outstanding breeding behind her. It seems her father was the #8 dog in the 1999 world championship. Matenal grandfather was champion for Italy. Enny should be a well behaved yet spirited dog. She's a fine dog and looks well for her age. Any idea why she was in a rescue? Her right ear appears to have been injured at some time. You've done a good thing for your dogs.

Enny was an imported dog...on the pedgiree you posted it says she has a BH. So someone at some time had some interest in doing something with her. She is a well bred show dog. Too bad dogs can't share their stories. She looks like a nice girl and it is nice that she will be able to live out her years comfortably.
