Before you start to comment...my dog is trained in a positive way, when we work he is normally happy go lucky, willing to please. I asked a person who I believed to have "experience", and his comment was that I need to get rid of the dog because I am dumb and the dog was acting in the "fight or flight"...last time I checked, telling your 2 year old dog to down was not that big of a threat.

I would say it's time to take control of that dog. The signs have been there and you just haven't picked up on them, unless the dog has a medical issue this doesn't happen over night. I would recommend seeking out a professional trainer. Positive training is great and I do it all the time, however, there are times when corrections are needed. You need to get a handle on this dog immediately or you are definitely going to get bit.

Duderino. I have not owned this dog his whole life, I got him 6 months ago....however his attitude worked on the man before me.
slamdunc. I was standing on the side of him
Ladyfrost, he was put in his place
duderino...way to go on assuming i train with a clicker, cause i dont...
chaz, i may have though im guessing the post you speak of was a good while back, of an out of control male i had who had to be put down because of a brain tumor.
brynjulf. lets just say after digging up research on this "experienced" person...apparently he isnt looked at the same way by others. when i told him that i corrected the dog, he said i should have never.
