just curious just say your dogs had to ship all the way to canada was just wondering how much does it usually cost for an adult dog to ship? Further question is

what kind of payment do most breeders accept  for a dog that is over 1k of course?

Canada is a large country.  It depends.   It may be closer then other parts of the US and does not add to the bill crossing the line.

Breeders like cash, pay pal, money order, western union.  Just so there is cash before their is dog, unless you know them well enough to get credit!!

For an adult dog that w/crate is under 100lbs through Continental is $350 plus any additional fees for import etc... Plus whatever the breeder tacks on such as health certificate, crate and charges to drive to the airport.

Wire transfer, money order, western union. No paypal for an amount that large.

Call the Airlines and see what they quote.  I dont think I have ever paid more than$ 600.00 shipping for a large Male.  I havent shipped in the past 12 months though.  And my dogs ship into Vancouver.  Maybe Toronto is more expensive?  Does the breeder have a long drive to get to the Airport?  Some charge alot for the travel time.

I just shipped a male to Buffalo from Charlotte and the airline ( Continental ) charged $349 plus some change. I was told that shipping into Canada was the same price. We don't charge more then the airline charges for shipping.

Edited to add: The male plus crate was 94lbs.
