IS IT CORRECT THAT AIRLINES DO NOT CHARGE IF YOU ACCOMPANY THE DOG?

 Hi Sable59,
They will not charge you extra as long as the dog fits under the seat in front of you. It will also be counted as your one allowed carry on. Otherwise the dog must ride in a crate in the hold. You pay normal airfare. However not sure if the animal then fly's at a discounted rate. We took our dog on vacation from the southwest to the east coast and were charged a flat fee of $200.

A dog travelling with a passenger on flights is charged as "excess baggage" by some airlines; crate and weight of the dog applies.

I know virtually everyone on this forum will disagree with me but I have never seen a dog worth $12,000.  I know how business and laissez faire capitalism work though.  And I know how marketing, advertising, salesmanship, the power of suggestion and linguistic programming work.  And I know how most human beings are only out to make a buck off others in general.  And I know how people want to believe in the things they believe in no matter what price it will cost them.  I know how the dog peddling industry works.  I know that profit margins are always what matters at the end of the day for people.  I'm well aware of what many dogs are sold for in the world.  It's a shame people are lured into thinking any of these dogs are worth these kind of prices.  I've seen dogs advertised for $100,000.  There will always be a sucker that falls for it.
