Looks so sweet, a question please: what you call runt, runty (which I believe means smaller than the siblings) does it grow to a normal size later on but on the smaller edge or it is what was called on another post dwarf??

Good question Ibrahim,
your dwarf GSD is the same size as the others and then about 8 weeks stops growing.
I think she will grow to a normal size, and it was just the big litter of 13 that slowed her down!

I am going to add this picture of my Theo von Ryan's sister that was very small at 8 weeks, one out of 12, here she is at 8 weeks, (She got bigger than her brother Theo!)

Kalibeck

I know I posted this on your other thread as well, but.... our Lil' Bit was the runt of our litter. She was born 24 hours after the other pups, & was very small. When she was born she was 1lb 1&3/8oz, the biggest pup was nearly 2lbs....she couldn't nurse, the dams nipples were almost too big for her iddy-bitty mouth. Carl took, massaged her between his great big hands, then took some formula & dropped into her mouth & rubbed her tiny throat with his finger, she began moving her mouth, her gave her another drop, & she began sucking, we cleared the big bruisers away from Kali's teats & she latched onto one like a little black leech, & I swear she never let go! I would have to pry her off any time I wanted to do anything with the pups or their mom. And she became flat out crazy for my husband. And she still is! Now she's 84 lbs, has a thicker neck than her sire....& personality? She's CRAZY! She is one determined big ol' bitch! God forbid anyone bother my husband or our neighbor Dick, she loves him, too! She's very social, but she can turn it on!This Lil' Bit as a baby. Here she is now! No runt no more! Now Ani vom Kalibeck! The moral of the story is....just keep loving her! jackie harris

AAAWWW!!!  She's just darling!

No matter what size she ends up being, she's a lovely little baby.

Love the name Arfur - 1/2 as big, will remember that one, we had a Bridget the Midget, and she grew to be of monstrous proportions, so sounds very silly with Bridget the Midget as her name, which is what her owners have kept her to.   Still they love showing her friends the pics that I sent them of her from birth, so her name has some significance.   Mo.
