I did a search on this to see if it had posted before but did not find a link so I will post it. If it is a repost my apologies. I dont like to get in the spitting matches usually but this makes me sick. Take a look.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIaM3hYFszc

I expect that most people have seen this before.

This was also sent to me recently again:

It saddens me it really does, and I still haven't seen either the UK KC, The GSDL or the SV introduce any measures/recommendations/judging penalties to even begin to address the problem.

Maybe I missed it, anyone know?

Scarlet, Thanks for posting the actual video. I will have to figure that out. Yes, Post them to the general board as well please. The videos do such a good job of showing what breeding for show dogs is doing to the breed.

Personally anyone that would treat a dog like that should have their pompuos asses kicked.

A Little reflection and consideration of motives and perspectives (and the graphics of slow motion shots) should be considered here.

Along with the longevity of the GSD when compared to other large breeds that are supposedly "working" breeds.

I am unashamedly an advocate of the working GSD - end of.

I think my record evidences this.

But some people here are being hung out to dry who I have known for years and have the best interest of the breed in their DNA. I (and you) may not agree with their opinion-but it is genuinely and honestly held. This is a something of a witch hunt- you cannot fairly state that the extreme dog  in the video is typical of most showline GSD's.

Personally I am at more concerned by the temperament of many current showline dogs that cross my path than their anatomical attributes.
