We have owned a dog for over a year now we cannot seem to get registered. Help is needed before I lose my insanity, lol! We have his pink papers. The owner signed the back. We do not have a beschinigung and long story short the person who owned the dog in Germany will NOT reply to countless emails both myself and the woman who imported him have sent. He is paid for in full and has been since the day we purchased him. How can I obtain a beschinigung for this dog? Anyone's help who has experience in this is GREATLY appreciated.

If the owner has signed the back its  easy.  If you are a member of USCA, go to their web page, down load the ownership transfer form (instructions included).  You will need to send the original signed pink papers and application to USCA w/payment.  They will send docs to SV in Germany and obtain the besch.  Once you have besch. you send that to the akc with the application.  It may take a few months to get the besch.  The owner is probably not returning calls because he did his part by signing the back of the pedigree.

I just went through this with my girl Geena. This is what you need to do.

Contact Sabine Leib at the SV, tell her you need the beschinigung. She speaks English ( AKC@schaferhund.de ) . Give her the SV registration number and name and she will give you instructions on fees and where to send Notorized copies of your pink papers. You do not need to send the origionals.

Once you get that back you can proceed with AKC registration.

What were the fees for sending them right to the S.V.  I like that all you need are notorized copies.  Anytime you send the originals you risk loss.

It is 15.50 Euros plus 8.20 Euros for postage.

I don't like sending origionals or credit card info either. I was told to send credit card info but am looking into alternate methods.
