How much would you pay for a imported SchH1/IPO1/ ZVV1 dog if you would know  this?
1. the dog has to be located.
2.tested.
3. additional training added.
4. transported from the buyer to our kennel  in Czech
5. maintained/boarded on average for 4 mo 
6. rexrayd hips
7. rexrayed elbows
8. occasional vet care
9. picture taken
10 video taken
11. put on the website
12.talk to people on the phone for average 100 hours to sell one dog .
13.answer about 50 e mails per day .
14. pay to decoys for 3 x per week workout.
15. pay to employees to take care of the kennel
16. purchase of the kennel.
17. tax of the kennel property / permits.
18. interest on the mortgage
 19. power
20. phone bill
21. web master
22. transport to airport in Germany 800 miles round trip.
 23. heath certificate.
24. shipping crate
25. shipping
26. occasional returns for unpredictable health reason and permanent care for such dog at our home ina belowed pack of old and ugly until he/she dies.
27. continuous support.
29. discounts on repeated and multiple sales
30. discounts on training of our dogs.
31. dog itself
32. schH/IPO/ZVV1 about 1000 sessions in obedience , protection and tracking.
33. about 120 years of combined experience amongst 4 people
34. blood, sweat, tears and love 24/7/365/
35no full weekend for years no vacations
36. lost nerves telling people that you are not a rip off if you charge for all these things and make a minimal profit in order to perpetuate this bad habit of love of dogs and and providing them to people who need them or want them. .

But that's also about twice the going rate five years ago.

Thousands of dogs being sold for detection work, DOD and MWD's, combined with higher shipping costs and the weak dollar have raised prices over what they were 5 years ago.  It makes it hard to find good dogs for Police work these days, at least what I consider a good dog.

that is why you want a male and female.  One of their great great great great great grand fathers was a V rated titled dog.  Have a backyard with a house you rent.  Sell puppies for a grand here on a free web site.

That's how breedings pays....LOL

As for your training, borrow a city parking meter for the minutes of training.

I know of a gentleman that travels to Germany, Belgum, etc.. for just that reason. They pay anywhere from $5000 to $7000. The last one I remember was an IPO3 Mali ( very very nice dog) and he was $7000. My girl Geena ( no title, hips xrayed, pink papers from working lines) was around $4000. Shipping was $950.
