Beautiful babies!
Don't know what you plan on doing with the young male, but I would definitely not let the older dog dominate him that way if I was planning on him being a working dog, sch. etc. Look at his face in the first picture.

Ariel can be a b*tch but I would say neither is dominant over the other right now and Ace never backs down when Ariel takes his stuff, he just goes right back in to get it. In fact he didn't back down from a rather large Black Bear that was in our yard the other day. He held his own and told it to get the heck out of his yard. I think that is pretty good for a 14 week old. the bear left.
Ace will be my daughter's Agility Dog for starters and I would like to use him for Schutzhund it it works out, The little girl at the bottom will be my Schutzhund dog for sure.

13 Years ago I had a male that grew in a similar pattern, he doubled his weight between 12 and 16 weeks then slowed down. I knew nothing about puppy food back then and they didn't have all the fancy foods for large breed puppies, so at the 16 week visit the vet said to take him off puppy food so he wasn't growing as quickly and putting stress on his joints. He ended up being between 97 and 105 lbs when he finished growing. 105 in the winter when we were lazy and 95-97 in the summer when we were active. My gut feeling is telling me that this is where Ace will end up at. Neither of his parents are oversize either.

43.5lbs? That is really huge. The male I just sold was 32lbs at 17wks, and not small. I don't allow puppies to become heavy, so that's a thin dog, but not emaciated. His sire consistently throws 85lb males. My male who is around 100lbs skinny wasn't as big as Ace at that age. He was 15.5 at 8wks; my pups are typically 12ish at 8wks, and I have produced a couple females who are in the mid-80's. Your dog is really super big for his age. Sounds like the breeder was overfeeding. There are some lines who tend to be bigger at birth and early on, but I would be very careful w/him in terms of feeding. Some studies suggest overfeeding even in the first few weeks of age can substantially increase a dog's odds of developing HD.
