Same as anyone else. Start slow 1/2 mile a day to 1 mile then ad a 1/2 per week. This is a trot not running it will tone her up slowly but correctly.

I started last week at 3/4 mile, just because that's how long our block is.

Hero, Hanny, Vanny & Sita.......if I jogged them all without a bike, it would kill my poor old knees...

Hero and Hanny get really excited when I bring the bike out. When I connect them to the bike and we start off, they pull the bike for the first 1/4 mile or so. Hanny trots nicely, Hero wants to gallop.....so I have to keep the breaks on to slow him down.

Hanny's tummy is already tucking a bit, amazing how quickly she is changing.

Sita and Vanny don't care for it.

Is road work pretty much the standard, or do others do other things too?

I start by taking their favorite ball out into a field, having them platz, walk around the field or behind tres hide the ball and send them to find it. depending on how long it takes to find i start by doing this 1-3 times at a time for the first week and then I go out behind the trees and throw the ball into the field and do the same 3 to 5 times depending on how quickly they find it. They go at a good steady pace while looking for it (not to fast, not to slow), After that second week I make it a little more challenging switching off between throwing and hanging it up higher in a tree or brush.

Swimming, if you can find some water not too ccold in the winter.

I agree with the above, but with a bit more focus on variety.

Walking interspersed with trotting on the road one day, the next day a couple of throwing the ball sessions which includes light obedience, next day a long walk in the woods, one day a swim if you have access to water. Lots of nnice tit bits to build that focus back up and keep it positive.

The slower the start the stronger the final result, the reason for variety is the muscles, tendons, nervous system etc are all being stressed in many different ways to condition her to schutzhund. In effect you training her to start training, the general conditioning is preparing her for the specialized routines in schutzhund; torque forces on joints when running the blinds.
Olympic Coaches call this process Anatomical Adaption. Don't forget diet and recovery too.

Good luck, sounds like she is safe hands.
