Yes, you can imagine me an old Guy trying to clean the pen out and seeing everything i need racing round the garden Yesterday i had a 10 liter can filled up with water i went over to the landing board of the pigeon loft to get the bass broom off to wash the pen out, I cannot leave it standing up where she can see it because it will disappear so as i was coming back over to her pen she has the water can and water is going everywhere she is wet through and loving it i take the can from her and make the mistake of putting the broom down next second the broom is flying round the garden, Great fun for her, you cannot help but laugh at her so the only way to get the broom from her is to show her ball then peace reigns for a bit unlil it is time for her walk and bit of daily training then once again she is a real little Lady.
Yes, she keeps me on my toes but i let her do it as it helps keep her happy and of course it is a game to her, but then she is in her own back garden and that is a play area not a working area

Okay, so we're talking AMERICAN showline here (just checked the pedigree). For an American dog, she has really good conformation. I've read the other comments, and yes, her head is narrow by German standards, but not by American. As long as she's keen on the work, and has good grips, I woudn't worry about it. It looks nice and feminie, and, unlike many American dogs, it's not snipey, roman-nosed or unbalanced (muzzle longer than the head.)  She's got tall ears, but she's still growing, and they look to have a nice set, and stand up nicely.

I see what others are saying about that dip in the back. My male has that, too, but it's JUST FUR!  It's the bottom of his mane, and when I put his service dog vest on him, it comes just at the wrong spot to ruffle the fur even more. However, can't be sure from a picture if that's the case with Echo or not.

Her colour is good, in my eyes. You want to see faded pigment, take a look at my German/American bitch, Star of Hope. You can't expect red background pigment in an American line dog. It's just not in the genes, and despite what some SV judges seem to think, I've yet to see anywhere in ANY standard that a GSD has to have RED pigment to be correct.

I think her overall build is good, and she's not extreme in any way. Her shoulder is very nice for an America line. It's very rare to see a shoulder and upper arm that's not steep with them. I can't think of a single fault, other than she is standing east-west, and that could just be the picture. Let's hope it is, and that her front end will turn out okay once she's mature.

Someone said they would like to see more of a turn of stifle, but personally I think that if her hind leg were pulled back a little more, as it would be if she were placed in a stack, the stifle would looks just FINE. And after seeing SO many American dogs with excessively long stifles, I AM NOT going to complain!!!

Have fun with her!

she looks a bit like the old show type from the 80-90's because of her colour & ears, but otherwsie a nice dog.

Thanks Sunsilver and hamza166.

There is a slight dip to her back, you can feel it when you run your hand down her spine.  My husband saw that when she was very young and thought she had a roached back.  I've shown him some good (bad) examples of a roached back and after so many nice comments about her back in general I think he understands she is not roached.

As for the east-west feet...she does that sometimes but not always.  Sometimes it's much worse.  I hope it goes away but either way, she's my girl and I love her.  She has good strong hind legs, no cowhocks or hock walking either.

Her color is black & tan and the flash kinda faded her out.  She's not quite this light but for sure no red.

Her head is narrow compared to the German lines but as she matures I've noticed her muzzle filling out well.  She has a good strong bite and loves the protection work.

Whatever faults some may say the Dog has I guess that is okay for the show ring but it will not make a scrap of difference on the Schutzund side of working
It sure is no good having a dog for that which has perfect comformation But lacks the drive and keenness to work then again its okay for the show ring but not on the work field, I think your Dog is a willing little girl who has not finished growing yet and is doing okay for her age and experience

I agree Steve.  Funny, when we bought her we just wanted a pet that was recognizable as a GSD and hoped she would be healthy.  We weren't looking for a show dog nor a Schutzhund prospect.  In fact, there are some moments when we wondered if she truly was a GSD.  She had some ugly duckling stages.  I wish I could post those but I haven't figured out how to resize them.  She had so much drive at 8wks we knew we were going to have to find something to do with her besides using her for a rug.  That's how we ended up on the training field.  She is hard headed and willful, a real handful at times.  Your Izzy Bitch sounds a lot like her as far as the mischief.  That's what we get for having a "thinking" breed.

Yes Deb, but do we not love it, i do its great. had to miss training today we had to go to a pigeon presentation about 40 miles away we got within 3 miles at some traffic lights they went Red and we stopped another huge van coming up the road behind us did not, It smacked us in the back wrecking the door and upright one side the back window went shattered glass everywhere, The Tow bar was bend in so do not know what damage there is underneath the  VW Caddy of ours I am really pi---d off, no Dog training possible now for some time and all i got for it is an aching back,
I felt like smacking the Guy in the Van but my brother stepped in between me and the Guy, however i would have been wrong to do so as i think he was a bit shaken by it
I went cold to think what might be if the dog trailer had been on the back, two dead dogs i expect for he pushed us 5 yards through the lights

OMG!  Steve, how awful for you and your brother.  I bet you'll really be feeling it tomorrow.  At least you are around to bitch about it.  It could have been much worse and I shudder to think about Izzy Bitch being behind you in the trailer.  Good thing it was a pigeon day and not a dog day.  Did you lose any birds?  I'm sure the guy was shaken up after all, none of us would mean to smack into the back of someone else.  There are just too many idiots on the roads these days.  Was he on a cell phone or texting while driving?  That's when I would lose my temper I'm afraid.  Because of idiots like this I think I drive as much with my rearview mirror as I do looking out the windshield.

I hope you and your brother don't have any lingering problems with your backs or necks from this.  So sorry to hear of this bad bit of news.  Sending good wishes & hugs to you.

Hi Deb
Yes thank you, i am feeling a bit aching on the back this morning my brother was driving but he is okay as well, but i guess it could have been worse I thank my lucky stars the dog trailer was not on the back this time, for they would have been dead Had the Tow bar not took a lot of the force first i think we would have had a crumpled sides to the Caddy Have put on a couple of Pics
