Eve2012

I have Eve and don't know much about pedigrees.  She is showing exceptional abilities, but we are taking her slow.  Still alot of puppy in her.  She is now 17 months old.  I love her but would be interested to see what others think.  Also, if all pans out well, we are thinking of breeding her - any suggestions on a stud?

I like this bitch's pedigree, but to make it easier, here is her PDB link, which is MUCH easier to read/view without the 6-Gen

S
he appears to be a nice mix of Czech and WG-WL so really as for recommending a stud, it'd be up to YOUR personal preferences as to what kind of lines you wish to continue. Are you wanting to breed mostly Czech lines? In which case, one would of course, look for a Czech stud. Are you looking to breed a little more WG-WL into her puppies? In which case one would look for a WG stud. Are you looking for another mix of lines, like she is? In which case you would look for a mix. If you're looking to add a 3rd set of lines, like say, WG-SL or DDR, you'd look for a stud with predominantly those lines.

It's so hard to give you an answer on stud suggestions because you have not mentioned what you are looking to produce. Also, for recommending ANY stud dogs, I'd say first and foremost, KNOW your bitch's weakness(es) and find a stud to compliment those, say your bitch has weak pasterns, breed her to a stud who has STRONG pasterns and has a genetic makeup (his pedigree) of strong pasterns.

Good luck!

Thank you.  We are still evaluating her - all over.  So I can't tell you yet what we are looking for.  I guess what I really wanted was opinions on whether she is breeder worthy pending her hips and elbows. So far she shows great temperment (working on the other dog aggressiveness), has great work ethic, etc.  This is all new to me and she is the first working shepherd I have ever owned.  We had shepherds growing up, but I am sure they were just the backyard breeder type.  There was one that I remembered that had to be sedated when there was any type of storm.  So, in essence, I am very new to this.  Thanks for your patience with me - lol!!!

I have a couple young dogs out of Fargo, but not rega. Wade is a real good friend of mine and a good dog man. i would see what he recommends. He has told me many times how he really liked rega. The 2 young dogs I have are being trained now, one for police k9, the second for gang enforcement. The both have good balanced drives, qwick to learn and love to work.
