It would floor you all to hear the real truth about hannibal! Some people are very good at telling stories, I prefer to tell the truth, that way their is no future confussion.
Jerry talked me into buying hannibal, i got cold feet and backed out, not knowing jerry and never having bought a dog from him, i met him through a girlfriend of mine, so i figured he was ok!
Jerry put the quilt trip on me, saying he would loose his great connection in germany, blablablah!
good salesman pitch, i took it hook line and sinker. I keep my word, wired him the money, but told him to have hannibal shipped to him to sell! when he got hannibal, I heard how great his obedience ws ,blahblahblah, another sales pitch! I had a freind who liked my female GSD import, which I bought from K9ambassador, who by the way is an AWESOME GSD, Axa Edy Bar koch, and great hip and elbow X-rays, and everything I was told she would be! I showed to my friend the picture of hannibl and he really liked him, I let him deal straight with jerry. I did recommend to my friend that I thought he should buy Axa's brother from K9Ambassador.com in CZ, but Bo, K9Ambassaor told me he was not for a family as Jeff had a new baby on his way. Very Honest of Bo to tell the truth! Long story short jeff bought Hannibal from Jerry, reinbursed me exactly what I had in him + jerry wanted  2,000 profit, which Jeff paid him, He told Jeff how geat hannibal obedience was Blahblahblah, NONE of whiich was true! I heard stories where hannibal almost ate jeff's friends, Jeff finally decided to take him to A VERY WELL KNOWN police dog trainer, who  honestly told Jeff that Hannibal was a DANGEROUS DOG! later he tried to sell him for Jeff, 3 vets failed his hip x-rays, even the X-ray jerry had provided with Hannibal was not good. We trusted jerry when he told us Hannibal had excellent X-rays! We have since then learned a very valuable lesson, have your vet read them before you purchase the dog! I tried to contact Jerry several times, with no reply, gees imagine that! I recently was contacted by another unhappy customer, who had read my post from a few months ago. So that is why this matter popped up again! and i wrote this to let people know the truth! It cost jeff my friend over $7,500. Of course Jerry blamed everything on me, which my friend knows better, because from the beginning I provided him with the copies of the wire transfere to Jerry Etc. all up front on the table! Afterwards I made part of it up to Jeff on his loss, I recently was contacted by jerry, asking what he tought would be the right thing to do, I told him he should discuss that with Jeff, that he could of at least offered jeff for his family (a year ago) a free puppy or give him back at least part of the $!  something, anything. Jeff and the dpg trainer had contacted Jerry several times only a few months after the purchase of Hannibal. I know he turned the police dog trainer story around directing blame on him as he did to jeff on me! NOT GOOD BUSINESS I TOLD JERRY! As for Hannibal, the trainer still has him, and is caring for him at no expense to Jeff. Oh ye I forgot to mention, Jerry did offer to train Hannibal for him for yet another $2,500!! GREAT SOLUTION! NOT!

Hannibal is a Bomber son that was Imported from Germany with his x-rays..Here are some video's taken the week the dog arrived. This was the 1st time I worked him..This is the big dangerous man killer..Many breeders know this women Vicky Armour..Hannibal was sold as a green dog that needed to have training continued.Vicki bought the dog for breeding and then resold the dog for a profit.Vicki had informed me she refunded all the man's money. Not so he has received nothing from her...Very bad deal that we are trying to rectify. No one will provide me with the X-rays or the Vet's name..

What's the point to the original post, VLA? I couldn't read all that with no paragraphs.

Someone might need to Coles notes that wall of text into point form.  I managed my way through it earlier, but by the end was still trying to figure out what it said.

by oregontnt2007 on 07 March 2012 - 15:03

Really Jen? Really? maybe you should take the time to re read it prior to posting.

It looks like there is a BUYER for good ole Hanni!

Maybe he is worth what this person paid for......um

Maybe they can come up with all the e mails, all the paperwork, bill of sale, contract and the

hip ratings & titles so BRYNJULF is wanting to buy the dog to come his way!

Hammi would make a great stud dog!

Just PM L V A, I am sure you can hook up with the owner & they can sell him to you for the same

price that he was sold?

I do have to admit, I do love his color....pretty color!   BUT prudy is, as prudy does....

( ok, that was spelled wrong on purpose )

Hey L V A, is Hanni a Schutzhund 3 or does he have that CVV1 title thing going on?

I sure hope the guy that has him still has the x rays that was sent with the dog.....hum....

Does anybody know if Hammi is being used for stud or what he is doing right now?

as soon as I figure out how to send attachments, I will show  where I wired $5205.76 to Jerry Mace account, and where jeff wrote two checks to me for $2,500 ea. and sent Jerry another 2k + shipping!!
When asked to JM if he would take Hannibal back to re-sell for the client, shortly after he was deemed not a family dog, he commented that the money had already been made on Hannibal, and there was no more room to make a profit, so he was not interested, unless he recieved an additional 2,500 for training, (training, I though JM said he was great obedience trained)To make up to Jeff, even though it was JM responsibility to Jeff, I ofered Jeff a pick of litter puppy with training for free, on my first litter in this summer, I called Jeff to tell him he had the pick as soon as my female had her pups, but after his horrible experience with Hannibal, he told me he had bought a retriever. I have been selling horses to pro's for many years, and always try my best to keep them happy, So I found Jeff a suitable horse, that he was very happy with and let him buy it for the cost of the horse to the seller, I took no commission. If JM wants to cut Jeff a check back for half the $ I will also match his check! even though I made no $ on Hannibal.
Cheers, let the truth be known!

Show everybody the x-rays you had taken. You still have not provided any X-Rays or Vet's names where he was x-rayed.I have over 200 emails from Vicki wanting to buy more dog's after she bought and sold Hannibal for a huge profit..Posts by VLA and Oregontnt007 are aimless and a waste of everybodys breath and time...This is not the way that adults settle there problems..Vicki you have been buying and selling dog's for a very long time.I have been in communication with Jeff and have forwarded him your posts..I also have asked him for the 3 sets of X-rays that were taken of Hannibal and still no x-rays...

To whomever is concerned. Wow, where to begin... This really strikes at my heart. I have owned GSD all of my life. I have worked with, shown, bred, and trained American Saddlebreds for 34 years. I was All-American... Various world titles, bred 4 world champions, owned a broodmare that once she is 30 years of age qualifies for e broodmare Hall of Fame.... and basically just dedicated my entire life to the pursuit of animals. Understanding them... Not how we would perceive them to be, but how they speak to us. I am now due to my physical limitations beginning to breed German Shepherds. I can not begin to describe how excited I am to totally immerse myself into an animal I both love and respect. I know VLA. I have known her for over 13 years. This woman has made her entire living on her integrity and passion for both her dogs and her horses. She is extremely well respected in her field and while I will respect her privacy, I will tell you that in her field of horses, it has been printed in publically distributed magazines that she is one of the most influential women in her sport over the past 30 years. This sport literally would not have the female participation had it not been for her drive and her integrity. Animal sales.... What a business, huh? I've been thru it all with all of the horses I have owned. There is surely good and bad. One thing I have come to realize when you are purchasing any animal it is either an extension of the trainer or a survivor of the trainer. For anyone out there who would think to believe his Jerry Mace... For now let's just disregard the mug shots and the man's character (which we all in the business of animals KNOW extends to the animals they work) PLEASE watch that video again. Oh sure, he can train one.... The dog obeys... But now watch it and watch the dogs ears when he gets his hands near the dog. The tail wags, asking to please.... The ears fold down begging not to be punished. Nowif you wish to make a judgement about the animal in question and whether he is a Survivor of the trainer. Now watch on tube this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnaYNydhLFc&feature=youtube_gdata_player This is the stud of my female I am starting my breeding with. He is much further along... As us horseman would say he's got a lot more miles on him.... BUT WATCH THE DOG'S ears and his language. He is happy and he is an Extension of his handler. Too many people get into animals without understanding that CORE aspect of an animal's training. I have got two GSD's at different times from VLA. One she saved from an abuser.... That one was actually a gift. Together, we repaired the dogs holes in her heart and overall being, but I can tell you this.... That dog's ears will always reflect her initial training and abuse.... When the flashback is over she is fine... She is 13 now and a very loved part of my family. The bruises will always be there but she knows she is completely safe. Had it not been for VLA's help in reaching the pain and healing that dog, she may never have lived a complete and peaceful life. The other GSD I bought from VLA. I call her Jackie. She is the love of my life.. She is the best tracker I have ever owned... and as for her looks, let's just say it's the dog people stop and stare at.... I am far to old to receive appreciative gazes my dog gets whenever she is out and about. I don't post.... And this one is a doozy, but when someone like VLA is out there in the world trying to only protect anyone willing to read her post from being caught in a similar suggestion, I almost have to wonder why she would subject herself to such responses. Well, I know why.... VLA learned her lesson.... But she was trying only to help anyone else out there to not be fooled by an obvious survivor. You have to know animals but be careful of a survivor, if you don't react just right in the wrong situation, you will get the punishment that the survivor had received one time too many!!! Thank you VLA for my animals... And thank you for your courage! H

I'm Michelle, wife of the Jeff mentioned above and previous Hannibal owner.

Regardless of wire transfers, canceled checks and profits, I want you to know about Hannibal himself.

Jerry Mace assured me personally on the phone (9 months pregnant at the time) that Hannibal would be the perfect FAMILY PROTECTION DOG, no additional training required.

After coming way to close to him attacking both an innocent jogger who happened to say hello as she passed while I was out walking Hannibal, as well as a friend who came by to drop off a baby gift, I convinced my husband to have Hannibal evaluated because I just didn't trust him. In both situations I had Hannibal on a leash with his choke chain and had to scream "nine" repeatedly and pull as hard as I could to get him to snap out of his anger while he stood on his hind legs baring his teeth, barking and growling.

We had him evaluated by not one but two reputable, even well known security dog trainers. In both evaluations, we were told that this dog would be a liability for us, and that he wasn't meant to be with a family-he was just too aggressive. They both said yes, he would protect us, but he was an accident waiting to happen. It was only a matter of time before he would attack an innocent person trying to protect one of us. We left him with the second trainer (our idea, not his) thinking that with further training (Hannibal wasn't even sharp on the commands that he did know), we could at least sell him to someone more appropriate and recoup some of our costs.

This is when we finally pulled out the x-rays Jerry himself sent to us. We had two vets looks at those x-rays, both said Hannibal had one bad hip. We got our own x-rays and the vet said the same...one bad hip. No one was going to buy Hannibal. (It seems Jerry is concerned with seeing copies of these x-rays...we are trying to locate the second set, we sent everything with Hannibal when we GAVE him to his new owner instead of having him put down.

The point is that regardless of what the video posted by Jerry shows, I can tell you personally that Hannibal was not the dog that Jerry said he was. Maybe he has sold some great dogs before, but unfortunely this was not the case for us.
