I am finishing my first bag of Orijen and the dogs are doing well but yesterday I met a lady with her GSD and we talked about kibbles and she told me Orijen was too rich for GSD's kidney (too rich in protein), that I should switch for Royal Canin.
Just want to know what you think about it. I don't want to ask my Vet because she sells Royal Canin only.

I used to feed just Orijen and my puppies used to grow so huge so I had to mix with Costco puppy food with it to bring their weight down.
So, IMO if you want to feed just Orijen, please feed only 2 cups a day max with lots of water. Orijen is the costliest food highly rated in the kibble market but I dont know of anyone who have used long time like more than 6 years.
Grain Free Kibbles are only a hipe IMO because they too use fillers like potato. And in the wild I think no dog or wolf eats a potato. I have a friend whose dog is 15 years old Lab and healthy with no issues. And I asked him what they feed him and its just pedigree dog food. $23.00 per bag. Orijen is $75 for 15kg bag.
Much better is cooked or raw meat. 1 - 11/2 lbs a day.
Thanks
