I was asked to perform AI on my 2 friends dogs. Firstly, the female does not accept any male for a natural mating. The male that we are planning to use is about 7 years old.
Both are seperated and about 2 hrs apart. I was planning to digitally collect semen from the male and take it to the female 2 hrs away and inserminate her.
I was wondering if the semen could be held for so long without chilling etc... the outside temperature is about 31 degrees celcius. So its quite hot.
Urgent solutions and answers greatly welcomed.

Why don't you just bring him to the female, collect it there and place it in her immediately? You would need a couple of people to help you.

it would be best to add extender and chill it if you could not take him there,but I would make them pull progesterone first
