I contacted this kennel via phone, years before international websites, and these people let me know they HATE Americans. Something I won't forget.

by Imran Zia on 14 July 2006 - 19:07

Sue I met both the brothers in Pakistan while they were here to show their dogs, and I found them to be wonderful people. They were willing to share their knowledge and information they had. beside this , these guys are professional, they cant affoard to say so ,until something has really gone wrong by any american... But I found them to be nice reasonable dog fanciers.. Imran

people and opinions change...

by prok9s on 14 July 2006 - 20:07

DH, You don't know what your talking about, hate will never change, respond to things you know, not to things you guess on, hate will never leave your soul it is tatooed there, you can control it, but never change it.

by D.H. on 14 July 2006 - 20:07

prok9s - but things can be said quickly, carelessly and in haste. I have not met many people who truly hate. But I have met many who have an off moment and say things they don't really mean for x number of reason that seemed very valid at that time. Were you party to that conversation or what makes you such an expert in this case?

by prok9s on 14 July 2006 - 20:07

these people let me know they HATE Americans./// Very clear statement. I have not met *many* people who truly hate./// But you have met people who truly hate?

Sue-Ann, what exactly did they say and how they described how they hated Americans?

by D.H. on 14 July 2006 - 21:07

...so you tell me I should only talk about what I know, yet at the same time you get by with what you read and in fact know absolutely NOTHING about? Let me tell you something prosy!!! As a German who lives half of her time outside of Germany I have encountered true hate, face on! Numerous times. I KNOW hate. I have had it shoved right into my face, on many occasions. Call me the eternal optimist, but I seem to have a laser that removes that tattoo from these peoples souls, hearts, minds, faces. Because I will not let them get away with it. I have just met you... you seem to know hate very intimately. Before you pass judgement on what was said to Sue-Ann, consider the fact that this was a long time ago. Consider the fact that that comment may have come from the old man, who is now passed on. Consider the fact that that same kennel is now run by the younger generation, has been for a while. Consider the fact that very few people of the younger generatation in Germany have any seriously negative opinion about the US, except maybe about their presidents stupid antics. The old man may have had some issues with the US, who knows. I have never met him. Considering the time he grew up in, he may have had the same preconveived notions that many people of the older generation have when they meet me for the first time, a German. I also KNOW from first hand experience that hate can be changed. It is changed all the time. One person at a time. Hate does not get passed on from generation to generation, if you do not let it. And a hateful comment may have just been the outburst of someone in a weak moment. We really do not know the circumstances of that moment. How do you know that that kennel had not previsouly sent a dog to the US on good faith and never received their money? Sue-Anns call right around that time and gets that shoved in her face. Very human. Or a US company just took over at their workplace and they lost their jobs? Or, or, or... Lots of possible reasons. You, nor I, nor Sue-Ann knows what prompted that outburst exactly. They may not even remember it any more. If anything, everyone deserves the benefit of doubt. Even if that was their sentiments at that time, it appears to have subsided now otherwise there would have been no effort to speak English, and be assured, there are many other lucrative markets in Germany than the US. In fact much better paying markets. So the hint that one "controls" hate for the sake of the mighty dollar is ludicrous. But... the mind assumes what is close to it, doesn't it.

I have had the pleasure of encountering Christian Lang on many occasions. I have had him as a guest in my house. I have worked with him on many projects together. I don't recall ever meeting a more polite, kind young man. Christian and his entire family are warm, friendly people epitomizing class. Best regards-JOHN
