 Owner edit

Hi everyone,

I think we have to many topics about the same thing and new ones started everyday.

If you feel the need to talk religion, please use one of the available threads. There are 10 threads on the first page alone that deal with religion.

Same goes for any topic. We only need one or two political threads at a time.

I will make a rule if I continue to see the same topics started over and over by one or two people.

Regards,

GSD

LOL@Sitasmom, the Queen of Bad Taste.
Buy some chickens and grab a shotgun, but don't forget to add, "Poor #*%gies!"

What's my problem? Since you asked........Oh, I just find your teen suicide post heading to be all about shock value, but no surprise, because I find you are invariably and incredibly disingenuous, entirely self-serving and utterly, oh, let's see, morally bankrupt? Shooting those neighbor d**s really got under my skin, I guess! That ought to about do it.

Oh feels good to get that off my chest! Carry on, then.  LOL

when the threaten you and your 2 and 4 year old children who are playing in the yard,
when dogs come up on a front porch and litterly tears your cat in half.
when the cause 142 stitches in your horse's face and hocks,
when they kill your rabbits, chickens and goat,
when the tear the ears of of your pig,
when the grab ahold of you leg and dont let go because you're trying to check the mail (baseball bat stunned it),
when animal control has been called repeatedly and they don't come,
when the sherrif sais they cannot do anything,
when the owners are askedly to control their dogs and just laugh (serious meth heads),
when you put a fence up and they jump and dig to get in
when you put live traps and the owner repeatedly let them out,
when you're afraid to go outside because you don't know if theyre laying in wait.

there just comes a time to deal with it,
at some point the danger has to be dealt with,
sorry you don't agree.

Here is what you originally said, and why people are understandably more than a little upset:

"i had a bad neighbor issue a while back. their dogs were ALWAYS loose. first I built fences, which helped but for only a whie. Next I bought some chickens and took photos of their dogs chasing and killing my chickens. I showed the photos to the neighbor who laughed. The very next day when his dogs came over to kill my chickens I shot every one of his dogs. He called the cops, I showed him the photos and also the part of the law that allows me to protect my stock from preditors. The cop looked at me and smiled and told that neighbor that he needed to keep his dog in his yard because there's a leash law and also a preditor law and I acted within my rights. when the rest of the neighborhood found out what I had done, a thank you basket arrived at my door!....
the cop had a similar situation and was happy to know the exact law so he could deal with his neighbors too.

too bad its the dogs that end up having to pay for shitty owners"

NOW you say the neighbors are drug addicts, the dogs were threatening to attack your children, AND attacking, biting and inflicting major damage and/or killing  not only ALL your livestock, including  large livestock,  and pets,  but also attacked and bit YOU.   Plus the law and animal control refused to help you?    AND you want us to believe the cops had no idea until you enlightenened them, that it is against the law for dogs to run off leash, cause all kinds of mayhem, including killing and causing major injury to other people's pets and livestock, attacking and biting adults and children? Seriously????  This is all a bit hard to swallow, but whatever.  I mean come on, seems like the chickens were the least of your problems!!!

Sounds like you live in the middle of the worst neighborhood in all of the USA rather than a house in the burbs, but I guess anything is possible.

i lived 2 miles down an old road, half was dirt, all with never ending potholes, in a neighborhood of half small wooden frame houses and half trailers. each property was 1.2 acres or more. the road was never going to get better because it was labled a red flag neighborhood. people with not the highest incomes moved out there to be left alone. unfortunately the thought that since they were in the country they had the right to let their dogs run loose and "be dogs".

the old neighborhood hasnt changed much.....i built the barly visible white house that's behind the tree.....

the children from this lovely trailer slept next to the ditch so the wouldn't miss the school bus and get beaten.
i fed them at least once a day. they ended up being taken away and placed with foster parents. they owned 2 of the pit mixes.

i built the white house on the left with my own two hands - when work was to be done, my usless husband had to get supplies and was gone for hours
as soon as the house was finished, the meth heads move in and dystroyed everything i had worked for.
- note the fence was around all 1.5 acres, trees planted to keep neighbors out of site.
God only know what is going on with the house on the left......

the "hood" hasn't changed much since '99.........
its still a mix of decent folk and meth heads.....

not the mess next door across the street and to the lower right - that's where the dogs came from, they would pack together and cause maham.

smartest thing i ever did was to take the kids and leave....... sure don't miss any of it.

Yikes!  Gotta hand it to you, you've come a long way baby.  I guess that truly was one of the worst neighborhoods in  the USA, sorry I doubted you.
