What is the normal time frame to receive papers out of Germany on a pup? I have been told at least 3 months. Thanks

Three (3) months is a normal time period for arrival of the pup's registration papers. I have received them in as little as two (2) months, but I do not think that is the norm.

I have recievied them in normally three to zix months but if there is a problem I have waited as long as 12 months, flustering I know but they will come. When dealing with import lines example a female imported in whelp it is a process as well and now there is DNA required on the dam by AKC now even for first litter that we were just made aware of. More money for AKC! Yahoo!

AlabamaK9, is the DNA requirement just for a pregnant import bitch, or for any import bitch or import dog? It has been more than two (2) years since I imported a dog.

Just the date they gave me April 06 check with AKC.....I never did it prior on prior on any females that were imported in 05 maybe they gave me wrong information .. most of my dogs had it prior to import maybe that was the difference?

All imports have to be DNA'd now, bred or not - new rule early this year
