question about VA dogs - Page 1

hello, I was wondering if today some of the previous dags that got VA1 about 5 years ago could get that tital again these days?? thanks , Jess

Hello JFU, That is a good comparison. I think not all the old VA will get to top. But some of the VA's who are not only 5 years but older than that could easily beat any latest VA's for example check out Ulk Arlett, Jeck Noricum, Uran Wilsteigerland, Ursus Batu, Rikor Bad-boll. I have seen Video of Ulk Arlett and Ursus Batu and also latest VA's. I would like to mention that todays VA's appeared to me more muscular and big. Whereas older VA's were correct midsize dogs. I found Ulk's movement the best of all the dogs I have seen. So in my opinion certainly older VA's have a place today's VAs also.

As far as the old VA's are concerned i'd like to go 4 years back rather than 5 to the most beautiful Sieger, Twice VA1 Yasko vom Farbenspiel! His beauty is inevitable and he produced some top VA's as well. Yasko was in the VA group before he was sieger so that makes him eligible to be mentioned in this discussion. Then we go back to the year 2000 where we saw the crowning of the greatest producing GSD ever to have lived (recently pronounced by the WUSV), VA1 Ursus von Batu. Another great dog i'd like to mention is VA2 Timo vom Berrekasten who's reproductive abilities were later realised after he had already left for Taiwan and his lines are proving dominant through his grand progeny today in Germany. The only thing that kept him becoming sieger was his colour but again don't forget the dogs who were crowned sieger ahead of him (Ursus and Yasko) Otherwise there was no stopping him! Then you can also consider VA2Untox ducati as per anatomy and movement is concerned! But no good progeny as such! only a handful! Mind you he was in the VA group much before he was VA2!
