Well there are many good quality dog foods out there for puppies. BB is a great food, but some dogs don't do well on it, just like some dogs don't do good on Orijen. It depends on the dog. Try getting like a small maybe 6 pound bag to see how it going and if you don't see firm stools, or your dog having other problems, then try a different one. But BB is a great food. Orijen has a lot of protein in it, so I would recommend that as a great one as well. But in my opinion, l like to home cook for dogs.

I don't know how many dogs you are feeding but I was feeding Blackwood for a while and had good results with good prices, however, some do not like it due to it having some corn content.
Other than the female on BB Wilderness. I am feeding the others Nature's Recipe it has no corn or beef or wheat and is working well at a moderate price.
I have looked at many different brands and it gets confusing so the above were my conclusions.
Other than Home Cooked and Raw which was more than I wanted to handle.

My question is, why puppy food? I'd think adult formula would be better and if she needs supplements, add them. I'm not a breeder but I'd think there's too much fat content in puppy food to be feeding it to a pregnant bitch. Just curious why nobody else addressed that.
