Paperwork can take a while depending on what time of year. In the middle of summer with the big SV events on and SV staff taking summer vacations, things take longer. Over Christmas and New Years, things take longer. When a pups papers are issued also depends on what the breeder does and status of both parents - the owner of one parent may want to add some more titles so that they appear in the pups papers. If they are submitted late, they will be issued late. The longest I have ever come across was 10 months after the dogs DoB. Hillbilly, check with the SV as to the status of your dogs paperwork. Use the eMail that Jantie has provided for Sabine, she speaks English fluently so you can communicate quite easily with her. As long as the transfer has been recorded into your name, you need not worry, just bide your time.

No problem with the SV. I imported a 9 week old puppy from Holland last year and received pedigree, including DNA prufung from the SV within 8 weeks. The sale was arranged during January so I don't think the time of year has anything to do with it. I think it depends on whether the breeder is on top of his game and submits the documentation in time.
