Dawn G. Bonome

by Dawn G. Bonome on 28 April 2006 - 10:04

Since there are not many trainers that I would trust my dog to in my are of the Country where I live in the U.S., I have a 10 week old pup, and when the time comes, will be looking for a SCH Trainer. Harsh trainers need not answer this. The trainer MUST be humane in the training and in caring of my dog, or I am not interested in hearing from you. Dawn Bonome

what is your definition of harsh? Also have you ever titled a dog? what seperates harsh from necessary? Ceddy

Harsh as in choking, hanging, to the point of passing out, pinching ears or testicles. No, I have not titled a dog, otherwise i would not have posted this. If this is necessary in order to train an animal, then the title means didly squat to me. Dawn Bonome

Yes doing any of that would be wrong to do with any dog. I feel that if you are someone who is doing that you should not own a dog let alone train one. So Dawn Bonome do you have show lines or working lines ? We work with them all !!!!!!!!

Dawn G. Bonome, Not trying to sound "harsh" but have you considered training your own dog? go to either GSDCA-WDA site or DVG America site and find local clubs near by. You will have so much fun training your dog. PS, Timothy Helser I thought you were going to trial your dog at the WDA schutzhund nationals this year? what happen?

There are several Breeders who also title dogs in Germany that are reputable and work with showlines and know what is behind the character of the bloodlines you have and will assess the dog.. most you have to put the foundation on and do the hips at 12 months and then get your "a" stamp results and then send the dog over about 14, 15 months... so if you can put the puppy bitework foundation on, and get it pretty solid the trainers and go from there feel free to email me for the 3 i would send to if i needed regards, dawnmarie
