I have looked over the terms and conditions of the site. I do wonder if someone can explin this for me. I hade s statement about a kennel , and a VERY positive one in Holland here the other day, and within minutes it was gone. A friend have a very good experience with them, and wanted me to let others know this. Was this a TOS ,or was it selectively deleted? Is it wrong that we shate such an experience that is Positive,or is the Ignorance of the new moderators? Jerry

Jerry, As long as the post did not contain an URL (website link), it would not be against the TOS. If it DID contain an URL, it would be in violation of Terms of Service rule #10, which states: "Please don't drop promotional url's (we do not allow signature file url's). Signing your name is fine, however commercialized posts or resume signatures will be edited. We tend to err on the side of caution to protect the integrity of the system by reducing flippant commercialized posts. Affiliate based URLs are not allowed anywhere on the system." So, if there was a website mentioned, that is likely why the post was deleted. :) If every "friend" of a breeder posted the URL's of their friend's website, there would be a TON of promotional URLs on here. Hope that clarifies a bit.

i saw that post Jerry. Although I do understand the moderator's point that we can't all start advertizing, it is really nice for people like me who are not familiar with reputable kennels, to know of genuinely good experiences people had.

ZVZW....just remember that although you may have had a good experience with the kennel that you posted about, there ARE others who may have had a BAD experience with them, and believe me, I am tempted to post about it. One(1)happy puppy buyer does not speak for the rest of GSD community. An innocent post like yours although well intentioned can only open up the flood gates to some REAL negative posts. Some others on this site have also "Set-Up" their posts to bring attention to "themselves" and their "friends" in the past for the sake of "False Promotion". Sadly NOT everyone has good intentions.

Would a comment like THIS give reason for deletion?: "I have seen a very nice working brownish dog win the Worldchampionship with a handler, I judge to be the best of the world. Sorry I cannot tell you the name of the dog or his handler, would give reason to delete my comment, but I think they are a swell team of which we could learn a lot! You should all try to go and see them work. Sorry I cannot tell you where they work and giving the name of the handler would be an intrusion of his private sphere. And telling you the name of the kennel/breeder would be messing with fair competition and trade. But what a great GSD that is!"
