While grooming my 2 year old bitch, she is producing static electricity when I use the brush on her. I have never experienced this before with any of my previous dogs. If anyone else has come across this problem, can it be remedied?

Sure, just ask someone to negate the laws of science. It happens, it's nothing wrong with you or the dog.

Try dryer sheets?I've heard somewhere this is good for shedding, too.Have you tried a conditioner?I love to use Show Sheen on mine, you can find it whereever horse products are sold. And it will brighten the coat immensly.

Spritz the dog with water before grooming. It takes nothing, there are no chemicals and its free. It also controls the fur flying everywhere too. I don't think that I've ever actually bathed my dogs... (short of if they tangle with a skunk I mean) just regular healthy grooming and their natural oils do the rest.
