Max della Loggia dei Mercanti - Page 1

Hello, Max della Loggia dei Mercanti is in several of the pedigrees of my dogs. I have never seen him in person, but he looks marvelous in the pictures of him. Question: In the picture of him, he looks like his eyes are light colored...Does anyone know if his eyes were light colored and if so, did he pass the light colored eyes on to his progeny? Peace

I saw both Max and his father Visum in 1996, the year Visum went Sieger and Max went VA8. Max had somewhat darker eyes than Visum although I would not describe his eyes as anything other than medium brown. Visum's were medium light and if they were much lighter, they would have been a fault. I thought Max was a better dog than Visum. He was a different type through the mother line. Since Max himself did not have what could be called "light" eyes, I don't think it could be said he passed this on. Visum did though. I am personally familiar with many of his progeny and have seen his same light eyes.
