Can someone please explain to me what that means?

Thanks!

I am not very good at explaining, so even though I know what it means, I thought this may be more helpful than me trying to define it for you. I didn't go through the website, just picked one that had the best definition when I googled it. So I have no opinion on the kennel itself one way or another, just trying to help.
Hope it does.

My pleasure. being in GSD kindergarten myself, it's nice to be able to contribute something helpful. Even if it wasn't in my own words LOL ;-)

I was quite happy with Zasko's ZW number :-) One of Indi's siblings has already had pre xrays, at only 7 months but so far they are looking excellent. I am waiting until Indi is just over a year to get her pre limbs done ;-)
Glad to hear Goran had a normal.

I am glad I was able to help out some. That link seemed to be easiest to understand...hope everyone has a great day!

I think a dog shouldn't even be allowed to be assigned a ZW rating until at least a third of it's progeny have been tested, or preferably half of them.

There are numerous dogs (mostly showlines) with great ZW ratings, that only a quarter or less of their progeny have submitted xrays.  What that tells me is, the prelims must not have looked so great, and the information was witheld to make the producer look better than it actually is.  The system can be beat, therefore is unreliable and deceptive, in my opinion.

Seems to me only a couple years ago, a ZW "84" was a pretty good score.  Now suddenly, there are lots of dogs scoring in the mid-seventies and even mid-sixties.

Thank you so much to everyone's helpful information and links.

A special thanks to Bea and John Ward for explaining everything to me in such a great matter! Your help was very much appreciated!
