Hi guys, further to the post re BLOAT i am interested in knowing if anyone knows if its a threat to elavate the water dish?I got my young dog now eating while he lays down on the floor. This seems to slow him down.I have taught this as a young pup and so far so good.As far as the water im not sure if having it on a stand is such a good idea after reading the last post on bloat.I was not aware of the problem increasing when you elavate the food dish and im having a difficult time getting into the article at Purdue University.Any suggestions in respect to my question is highly appreciated. Thanks All of you

Domenic, The bottom line is that no one really knows. But why would you elevate a water or food bowl unless the dog is injured? I say just use common sense. Dogs eat from the ground, and some eat naturally standing and rarely, some like to eat when lying. Personally, why elevate?
