I think swimming helps.

I think that you should let the dog decide how to walk. What possible reason is there to train a gait?? Don't you think that things have gone far enough !!

by Alex Mathew on 07 March 2006 - 17:03

I suppose the problem is that you have an over weight dog. I dont think training helps. A genetically good specimen maintained in good condition with minimum training naturally gets to know what limbd to move. By the was Dogs do not have Hands and legs, They have the front and rear legs/limbs

All of my dogs have done it naturally...they know how to gait....you can ring train them to get them used to the ring..but the gaiting should be natural..

Mathew You have to give him the leverage of being in China. Its enough that we have a friend from China who is contributing on this forum. Well I agree with Yeti and Alex in this regard. Its in their blood. You cant make them learn it. You can only polish the skill with practice.
