A few hours ago, I began to ask about hip scores. This was in line with seeing a stud dog schezzeims escapology (this database) marked on the owners website as "equivilent to A stamp. I know factually that this dog was brought from sweden with Class C hips (cannot be bred from in Sweden I am told) and more importantly, was hip Xrayed here in the UK and they chose not to send the plates for scoring. Therefore, my question to others is - would you advertise your stud dogs under those circumstances as "equivilent to A stamp". My message and that of 2 other replies have it seems gone from the database. Can anyone explain what has happened.

You can't "name names" with negative comments on this board, the moderator will delete it even if it is true. In the future I'd speak your mind without "naming names" and leave you email so people can get the info from you if they want. Regards, Melanie

It says that this dog is "a" stamped in this database as "a" 3 Noch Zugelassen. If that is true then his hips are still permissable. Even if the hip score in Sweden failed, there are many different Hip scoring organizations who have different standards for rating hips. For example a 3 (Noch Zugelassen) hips are passing in germany but the same films might fail by OFA standards. It is not an exact science and evaluating hips is so subjective. With OFA three different vets evaluate the films, they all can have a different opinion, but the final rating is the "average" of the three. My point is if his hips have been sent to Germany and recieved an a3, it is permissable, so you really can't say anything. Not sure why the breeder whould list it as "A stamp equivalent" though, if it is really A stamped, they should list it as it is a3. If the rating on this database is incorrect and he really doesn't have a passing one then I agree with you. Regards, Melanie

Deschsline GSD are very unscrupulous and to be honest I would advise everyone who is thinking of going to them to a) Buy a puppy from them or b) going to use the so-callen CHAMPION Shezzeims Escapology. NOT TO GO. They are friendly with one of the most crooked characters known to the GSD world here in the UK and even he has made a fair bit of money at there expense. Loner
