The orginator of tis thread CLEARLY states he wants a puppy with pink papers. He did not ask whether the pink paper is worthy or not.Why does he have to listen to unsolicited advice? Also, it is interesting to note that sweet pea, who was authortatively commenting on working ability of different "classes" of dogs owns a dog with NO training.I was wondering about the sport experience of some who were so eager to voice their opinons on the topic. Now I know.

Sweetpea is loosing its sweetness...

Reply to sweetpea: Pink papers are a joke - it only means the dog is born to titled, registered parents ******************************************************* "AKC papers" ONLY means the dog was born to registered parents. And those papers do not even mean, neccesarily, that the dogs parents was titled, in any dicipline. (Barely means both parents were German Shepherd Dogs) The "SV white papers" indicate the dog was born to registered parents who were titled, but will never be able to hold a "VA" status, themselves. "Pink papers" issued by the SV indicate the highest standard established for the breed, were met by the parents of the dog named on those papers. Those STANDARDS include a series of titles, show ratings, endurance exams(AD), breed worthy exams(Korungs), tattoo's accomplished, hips and elbows certified as acceptable and DNA established to prevent couterfeit breeding claims. It also indicates passivly, that the owners of those previous dogs spent a lot of time and money upholding the highest standards laid down for the breed, because of their pride for the German Shepherd Dog. I am sorry but I disagree with the statement: "Pink papers are a joke - it only means the dog is born to titled, registered parents, but it really is a scam when breeders put it out there to suck dumb people in. If you are buying a dog from someone in the world, that is not breeding to the standards that those "pink papers" represent, you are making a mistake. I have always marveled(and teased) at people that want the "pink papers", because they come from Germany, but don't really understand what they are really about, but make no mistake, I am a believer in those "pink papers" for the standard that they represent. And what they represent is not a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!

DH: How can you say that Sweet Pea is loosing its sweetness? Please, she is our expert. Remember in another thread, she stated that all breeders should stop breeding these showlines. Now, she is telling us that she has an awesome female who is half Arlett showlines and half nice East German lines. I hope she does not intend to breed this female, as she would contradict herself and go against her own breeding advice.

Sweetpea is clearly ignorant. Let's leave it at that. I just hope that she is not misleading others who might not know any better with her false and obviously discriminating statements!
