Vikram,

Did you go onto the website to look at other dogs from this same kennel?  They all are over angulated and extremely long in the thigh.  And she has photos of winners in conformation!  The judges in AKC events are encouraging this type of breeding.  AUGGGHH!  So sad indeed.

Probally not very well. I'd pass!

"The judges in AKC events are encouraging this type of breeding."

I'd be surprised to see that dog win anything in AKC conformation with that head.  UKC it would probably win.

Vikram, that's what made me start to wonder what had become of the German Shepherd breed, when I started to see dogs that looked like they could barely walk. They could trot really well, but looked like a strong breeze would push them over at the walk.

That head is all too typical of American showlines, too. As someone said last week, you could use it as a can opener....

Here's the dog's even uglier close relative. Most of the Nordlicht dogs are line-bred on GV Proven Hill's Banker of Altana, thus the large white spot on the chest:

Ah, well, at least the back's not roached:

Voila: the C-shaped German Shepherd!

Very sad.  I can't wrap my head around what these people are thinking or seeing, maybe we should make it mandatory everyone involved in the showring get their eyes checked on a yearly basis.

Poor think looks like his back is broken, and that exaggerated stack does him no favours...

ant eater face and bananna back

vs

roached back

i'd rather not own a dog..........

on he second photo, the dog seems to be posed that way just a bit. I wonder what it looks like standing normally.

I sent a message to a american stud saying that i had a bitch i wanted to breed and if they could send a few candid photos...........they said they didn't have any! makes me wonder. who out there doesn't have non stacked photos of their dogs???
