Hello Prager,
A friend of mine was going through his old achives and knowing how much I lke dogs, scanned and emailed me some pictures taken in the 50s.

Here's the description:
The Eva Peron Foundation was set up in Argentina in the late 1940s to advance social welfare in that country. These pictures date from 1951 - 1954 and show members of the 'Escuela de Enfermeras' - The School of Nursing - on parade with their German Shepherd dogs.

Enfermeras were trained medically and militarily. The dogs carry emergency medical kits on their backs.














Sorry, no dogs in action, just the parade.  Still it captured the mood of the times especially the B&W ones.

33 year old Officer Brightwell and K9 partner Prince
Brightwell  was the first K-9 handler for any county police agency in the State of Maryland. He was shot and killed while on a routine traffic stop. Prince was secured in the car.
