Hi all. I was updating one of my girls pedigrees and noticed the some of the dogs futher back in her pedigree were ofa'ed normal. (Example http://www.offa.org/display.html?appnum=182963#animal). Where do i input that info on them on the database and can it be equivilate to a good or fair raiting? If so which one should be marked then? (as of last night i just marked them as good, but i can go back and change it)

they used to only rate them normal or not, In the late 80s they started giving the more specific ratings so I would just leave the ratings as normal on the pedigree

Since "good" is the mean between "excellent" and "fair", the rating of O.F.A. "good" should be fine. You will see a similar practice with the S.V. from the mid 1960's through the early 1970's where a passing dog was awarded "Zuerkannt". The S.V. adopted the passing ratings of "a"1, "a"2, "a"3 and "a"6 about the same time that O.F.A. described its passing ratings of "excellent", "good", and "fair".

anyone familiar with OFA would know something was not kosher if someone had good ratings before they were even given ,it would probably be easiest just to list the numbers the ones with rating will have a letter suffix the ones without would just be the number
