What exactly does this translate to?

You mean to say someone with all your contacts/experience/ knowledge doesn't know??????? Well i am surprised..........NOT !!!!!

In the PDB when you put in a dog you can choose FCI ratings:

A 1/2= a normal
B 1/2 = a fast normal
C 1/2= etc
D 1/2= etc
and so forth you get the picture.
But the PDB list them as A 1/2, B 1/2, C 1/2... it is confusing as I had a lady call me about one of my pups asking about the dams hips cause it said on PDB - A 1/2 and that she thought it was mild displastic... not so the dog was A rated. I was confused too since I read a lot of Czech pedigrees and see 0/0 and a 1/2 would be bad.

This is my incomplete comparison chart so far......

finding information is so very difficult!

If this is the case, the FCI scores that are being put on this database are incorrect.

I'm still looking for more on different countries hip scoring systems, If anyone has better information please post a link,

SK/CZ uses a combination of A, B, C stamp and 0/1, 0/1, 1/0, 1/1 etc, but I have not found the complete list yet or how it compares to the rest of this chart......

The information being put in is only as good as the person putting it in. Try editing your girls pedigree and go to the Hips it is a pull down chart. ( you can back out without saving anything) You will see in most cases the info is correct. FCI rated A-1 or A-2 in the PDB it is A 1/2.

The Czech system as so far as it has been explained is A=0 B=1 C=2. I do forget though if they score each hip or it is a hip/elbow score??? (I think it is the later ie. 0/0 is A stamp both) In the PDB there is not a way to put in the 0/0 or 0/1 etc.

The Czech dogs are scored each hip ie most of the hips scored on one of my girls pedigree are shown as HD a(0/0) or HD b(1/0), HD b(1/1), I have been told by the CMKU that 0 = FCI A, 1 = FCI B, as far as I can ascertain it goes to 4 but in my breed you can only use a 0 or 1, occassionaly a 2 is allowed but rarely.

F.C.I. hip scores typically are used in conjunction with an F.C.I. registration. Not all countries have a F.C.I.-recognized breed registry so the owner of a purebred dog must register that dog directly with the F.C.I.. The dog must be born from parents that are either F.C.I.-registered or registered with a kennel club recognized by the F.C.I..

Charts that compare the various hip scoring schemes are merely that - charts for comparison. There is not a direct correlation between the passing scores of the various schemes.
