In which country/category of dogs?
There are German show lines, German working lines, American show lines, as well as various styles of GSDs in other countries, and the bloodlines & criteria for which breeders are selecting for, differ widely.
For example, the German show line dogs, German working bloodline dogs, & American show type dogs have enough variation in type, etc, that someone with an eye for the GSD can easily tell an American show dog from a German show dog, etc.
So you need to be more specific about which style of GSD you're asking about

What do you mean by 'influential' and 'best producing' - what is the context to this question and why are you asking it? In any event I wonder if there would be an answer that would be as valuable as you forming your own opinions based on experience as well as consulting others (and not just the latter). I say this because that is what I would want to do if I had such a question, and that would take time, not just a posting on a forum. I certainly wouldn't have the experience to comment on such matters, but I do wonder about your post.
