I have a 5gen pedigree here for a GSD from the KC. Into the 5th generation many of the dogs are listed as "unknown registerd sire/dam" now the dogs that are missing are dogs that are well known in the GSD world and easily found in the database. Is it worth contacting the KC to fill in the blanks ??

If they are german dogs (residing outside the Uk) then the KC won't add them to the pedigree. They only add Imports.

Nothing to stop you writing out or printing up/getting one of the pedigrees services to run off copies of the complete pedigrees with ALL names included, for any puppy purchasers ! [That way you can get to put in all the German gradings and SchHund titles as well.]
