My two year old  female went in heat recently back on the 11th or 12th I believe of this month. We did progesterone testing from the 7th day, and her level was still low even on Tuesday of this week which would be the 14th day. There was dark red blood all the way up until Thursday which is the 16th day, and the vet I went to on Tuesday did not think she would be ready until Friday or today, which I don't get because of how late in her cycle this is. She has no pus or any bad kind of discharge from that area, and her white blood cell count is normal.  In the day Thursday the blood had gotten a lot lighter, and I brought a male up to her to see her reaction. Keep in mind she is pretty dominant even towards males. On Wednessday she tried to bite his head off, and on Thursday it was more of a playful flirty reaction towards the male. On Friday when I brought her to the male to be bred to she was aggressive at first, but we kept her muzzled, and she eventually did calm down. She moved her tail out of the way for him, but the male tried to breed her for a pretty long time and we never have a breeding. Eventually she sat on him.  The males owner tried to assist in the breeding to make sure that everything was right, but after a long time still no tie.  He never really got in there though, and she did sit down on him so I have no idea what is going on with her. She did get aggressive a couple of times while we tried this, but for the most part she was calm. Anyone have any ideas about this?

Nevermind, I couldn't get a hold of her today, but she just called me to tell me that they were bred today
