Can anyone tell me a little about Jaquar? I am trying to find the good qualities and the bad in his progeny. have heard a few horror stories and would like some feedback. How many think a line breeding on him would be good or bad? thankyou in advance..

I have a 2 year old female out of Jaguar. She's smart, hit the sleeve the first time she saw one. great jumper, lively, lots of personality, confident, great dog. She's the best dog I have. I also have a Quantum son and a Karo van de Herdersfarm daughter. I have owned other show line dogs over the past 30 years but she is the best one by far. I have never heard anything bad about Jaguar or his progeny, I like the powerful build and his overall look. My female does have good muscle mass and has had since she was very young, more so than any of the other dogs getting the same exercise, food, vitamins ect.... Hope this helps and good luck.   Jeff

I was hoping to get a puppy out of Jaguar..but unfortunately he has passed :(  He was absolutely gorgeous!  I have never heard anything about about him either.  There is a Jaguar son in the club I train with, he's very nice!  He is just now being started in Schutzhund at 3-4 years of age after competing in AKC obedience and he's doing well!!  Not to mention gorgeous!

There are few dogs that will ever measure up to Jaguar. His father's type, super mother, produced some excellent dogs, very balanced and clear, excellent work. What more could you ask for.

I had the pleasure of taking him to a Bernhard Flinks/Armin Winkler seminar and showing him at a Regional Show soon after his arrival in the US. He placed V1 in a very competative class. His reputation on the field preceeded him and I was anxious to see what he had to offer. He had a very calm good natured personality. I took him out of the crate and we strode over to the field. Jaguar knew where he was and he took his place and waited patiently without emotion while the helper prepared. I was beginning to wonder how he got his reputation. He wasn't jumping up and down and barking. He stood watching taking it all in and waiting.

Bernhard walked towards him, looked him in the eyes, walked up to him, sized him up, stopped, turned around and walked away. I was just beginning to think ? what the........when Bernhard turned around and came straight at him. There was this red flash and Bernhard had a Jaguar on the sleeve. When Bernhard locked up, I asked Jaguar to out. He had known me as a handler for about 8 minutes and outed instantly into a guard where It was evident that the sleeve was there for the helper's protection. This dog was serious and he looked really pissed. He was committed, whatever it took he was there to prevail like a female protecting her pups.

He got a bite, a few stick hits, and he was able to carry the helper's arm off the field. Once the exercise was over. There was no emotion. His job was done and he knew it. Just another day, time for a beer. This experience opened a new dimension for me. Yes sir, they don't make many like him.

*Sighs* I really need to take some video of my girl working. She's a freight train of a bitch, very much a reflection of both her parents. I worry that she has spoiled me on females and I'll never have another like her.

There was a Jaguar son I worked with that was a pet of a police officer. He wanted to do some PP with the dog. The first try at about 12 months he wasn't quite mature enough for the pressure of civil work. About 5 months later, we tried again, he wanted to kill the helper. Seriously. After a few sessions I advised the owner that this dog would be all the protector he'd ever need, to back off the PP work lest he create a monster! Very intense dog.

Jaguar was a great  producer with incredible fight drive & great temperment.. I own a 2 year old Jaguar son that is V rated in confirmation and I  hope to earn his SchH-2  at the end of April and he is everything I could have hoped for in my first SchH dog. He is in my opinion a beautifull dog that loves to work with great drive when he gets on the training field  and when he's home around my 3 kids he is just a loving family member with a wonderfull temperment..  Jaguar will be missed but his legacy will live on in V-Kaiser von Fabing - EichenHugel .
