I will try to keep this short! First to let you know, my son has been training with me for the last 4 years, and he is now 18 years old. I sent him with 2 other guys to North Carolina, to the PSA decoy training camp this past week end. He drove because I have a small gas saver. The other 2 guy's ages are 35 and 42. They arrived on Friday night about 3:00 a.m., my son had a hard time going to sleep after driving all that way, so he ended up staying up all night and then going to the training class all day, so he was tried Saturday night. They went to Applebees to eat and when he was done, he left and the other 2 stayed behind and got drunk. They came into the hotel room at about 11:45 p.m., and woke up my son messing with him, he told them to leave him alone or he would leave, one of the guys said "is that a threat?" He said, I guess you will see in the morning. The one guy grabed him around his throat and slammed him against the wall and the other one grabed him from behind and threw him on the bed, he called me at about 12 midnight crying, what a helpless feeling that was! I got him a different room at the same hotel. I told him I would have left the both of them there! He did not want to do that, cause they told him, that they would come to his house and beat his a$$! ( I don't think so!) He believed them, so he stayed and brought them home the next day. One of them said he was sorry and it wouldn't happen again. The other one acted like nothing happened at all. There is one thing in life that you don't mess with, one is my kids and the other is my dogs! Well, Monday I asked the one guy, the one that didn't say he was sorry, did my son swing on you? He said no, I said that he did not have any right putting his hands on my son and that he would regret the day if he ever put another hand on my son! He told me that no one tells him what to do and that he would do it again if my son would threaten to leave him some where again. He also said that my son is a pu$$y and he neede to get off my tit! He said this in front of several people there. I looked at him and said, " do you hear me talking to you like that?" He said, that is just the way I talk. Mind you, this guy is 35 years old! The question I need to ask, would you continue to train at the same club as this guy, or would you leave? I have been at this club for 4 years and this other guy has been there only for about 6 or 7 months.

Me? I would tell your son to stay away from these two rednecks. I am sorry to use that term, but I think in light of what happened that the word of choice fits well. You know all too well that your son needs positive role models and these two (2) jerks are the type that makes our sport (any sport for that matter) a place where new people are made to feel unwelcome.

You made the correct counter to this action. I do realize you are a woman and knocking out someone's lights is something that you would be hard-pressed to do, but wow, if it had been my son I would have been very close to doing just that. I do not usually promote hand-to-hand combat, but for many people the only point of negotiation they understand is the pain rendered by a broken nose or broken jawbone.

Regards,

Bob-O

Yes Bob-O, I understand where you are coming from! You are right, I am a woman, I stand about 5 ft 6 in. and weight about 130 pounds! No match for either of these guys! If I continued to go there, I would just have to shoot him and he really is not worth going to jail for! My son is really good at dog training and I just hate not seeing him do what he loves to do! Talk about a heart breaker! Hopefully I will be able to find another training club to go to! In the mean time, we will just have to train by ourselves!

Bob-O is correct..HAVE YOU SPOKEN TO THE PRES OF UR CLUB AND YOUR HEAD TRAINER?

SOUNDS LIKE SOME TALES OUT OF ANOTHER CLUB IN ALABAMA....iD BE DOING A LITTLE LETTER WRITING AND A WHOLE LOT OF DOOR BELL RINGING.....DID THESE MEN GO ACROSS STATE LINE...WITH YOUR SON?

MAKE IT KNOWN TO ALL THOSE IN THE TOP RANKS OF THIS CLUB....pUT AN END TO IT NOW BEFORE IT =BECOMES LIKE ANOTHER CONTENDER FOR TOP USA SCHUTZHUND WHO HAS ENDURED THE SAME KIND OF TREATMENT....

ADDRESS IT NOW   WITH THOSE IN AUTHORITY.....CHECK WITH AUTHORITIES IN YOUR LOCAL TOWN AND MAKE A FORMAL COMPLAINT.....ALSO AN 18 YEAR OLD HAS NOT BUSINESS GOING ANYWHERE WITH  35 AND 45 YEAR OLD MEN UNLESS IT IS YOUR FAMILY OR HIS BOSS IN A BUSINESS...

HE LEARNED A LOT ABOUT LIFE IN ONE WEEKEND.....HOPE HE CONTINUES IN THE SPORT...SOME PEOPLE IN THE SPORT HAVE WORSE TEMPERAMENTS THAN THE DOGS THEY TRAIN...

PICK FRIEND IN A DIFFERENT LEAGUE.....FROM NOW ON   DRIVE YOURSELF AND LET ANYONE ELSE FIND THEIR OWN WAY......PARTNERSHIPS NEVER WORK AND AGE DIFFERENCE IS CERTAINLY A FACTOR HERE IN THIS ONE...NO I WOULDNT LEAVE THE CLUB    THAT LETS THEM WIN.....STAND YOUR GROUND BUT MAKE A FORMAL WRITTEN COMPLAINT SO YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO FALL BACK ON....

I DOUBT YOUR CLUB WILL TOLERATE THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOUR...

yellowrose, I wish it would be that easy! The club president is aware of this. I kind of feel like I was hung out to dry!  If only I could do what Bob-O said! I would at lease feel better! The one guy that was in on it, I have known for about 3 years! I didn't think he would do something like this! You are right, from now on, he will not go with others unless I am there!

gREATESTGSD:

YOUR SON IS 18 AND HE MUST BE LET TO GO AND DO AS HE SEES FIT   HE DOESNT NEED MOM TO HANG IN THERE WITH HIM ...BE HIS GUIDE AND HIS MOM  BUT MAKE A FORMAL COMPLAINT ON PAPER TO THE CLUB PRES.AND TRAINER STATING YOUR DISAPPROVAL OF THESE TWO MENS ACTONS...

YOUR SON CAN TRAIN AND STAY CLEAR OF BOTH THE OTHERS....IF THEY START TROUBLE CALL THE LAW IMMEDIATELY ....TELL HIM TO STEER CLEAR OF THEM  BUT DONT BE A SISSY ABOUT IT.....LET THEM TAKE THE FIRST SWING AND ID LOWER THEM BOTH TO THE PITS OF OBLIVION ....LET HIM DO IT....HE CAN WORK A DOG HE CAN SWING A BILLY CLUB.....I CARRY ONE IN MY TRUCK AND I WILL USE IT.....IM TOO OLD TO GET INTO A FRACUS WITH ANY ONE   BUT IF IM PUSHED....I WILL SWING AND ASK QUESTIONS LATER....

I CARRY ONE WITH ME BECAUSE OF STRAY DOGS AND WHEN I LEASE MY DOG AND WALK PLACES WHERE OTHERS ARE SUPPOSE TO BE ON LEASH , THEY ARE NOT ALWAYS....I DONT INTEND TO HAVE MY DOGS ATTACKED BY ANOTHER DOG OFF LEASH......IF YOUR DOG COMES AT ME OR MINE.......BELLY UP TO THE BILLY CLUB.....

ANOTHER MEMBER OF THIS DATABASE GOT MET WITH A LARGE DOG THAT WAS LOOSE IN THE PARK IN HER TOWN AND THE MAN JUST STOOD AND WATCHED AS HIS DOG OFF LEASH RAN TOWARD HER AND ATTACKED HER 7 MO OLD GSD PUP....SHE DIDNT HAVE ANYTHING TO WARD OFF THE DOG EXCEPT TO SCREAM AT THE OWNER AND HE NEVER MOVED...HER  DOG DID RESPOND AND SHE KICKED AND THE OTHER DOG RAN BACK AND HE GOT IN CAR AND LEFT...I TOLD HER   GET A BILLY CLUB....IF KEPT IN PLAIN SITE ON YOUR SEAT IT IS NOT CONSIDERED A WEAPON ...IT IS IN PLAIN SITE AND IT IS FOR PRYING YOUR HOOD UP AND KEEPING IT FROM FALLING ON YOUR HEAD....

why would a parent need to ask a GSD board how to act or in this matter react in  the matter described   makes no sense to me ~!!!!!

First, these guys broke the law. It is illegal to lay hands on your son.  It's assault and battery in any state.  In most states what the threat one stated to him is also a terroristic threat and asssault also.  Your son should have left immediately and neither of you should ever go back to that perverted, sick club.  It is sick and perverse if as you say the officers don't care about this behavor.   You and your son need to have some self respect.  Better never to train with any club again your whole lives than to particpate with degenerate scum with insect brains.

by AKVeronica60 on 15 March 2008 - 05:03

If everything is as you say it is, you should press charges.  I know that you are so overwhelmed with what happened, the reality of it has not made any sense to you, this is why you have posted it on the board...it is so unreal.  You knew these guys.  They are a part of your club, you've trained with them for years, and you trusted them to be big brothers to your son.  They've apparently done something like this before, or they would not be so brazen.  If the club wants to not support you, or kick you out because you have pressed charges, then they aren't worth crap either.  This is serious.  Your son was terrorized after he was assaulted so that they could have a return ride.  How contemptuous was that?  Very.  Terroristic threatening is a felony.

I'm really sorry your joy in the sport has been touched by this ugliness.

i AGREE WITH  VERONICAk9...MAKE IT LOUD AND CLEAR AND WRITE A FORMAL REPORT....I WOULD MAKE THIS CLUBS LIFE MISSERABLE.....

iM SURE THERE ARE OTHER CLUBS IN YOUR PERIMETER...BUT I WOULD NOT LEAVE WITH OUT MAKING ALLTHE CLUB MEMBERS AWARE OF WHAT HAPPENED...HOW LONG AGO DID THIS HAPPEN....

FILE CHARGES  ,,THAT WILL PUT A STOP TO THEM DOING ANY MORE THREATS TO MINORS...OR ANYONE...

PLEASE WRITE A FORMAL COMPLAINT AND HAVE A TALK WITH THE DA IN YOUR TOWN.....IF YOUR CLUB WONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THESE CLOWNS   THEN YOUR PEACE OF MIND IS WHAT IS IMPORTANT....

YOUR SON SHOULD HAVE GOOD MENTORS IN THIS SPORT.....YOUR CLUB WILL SUFFER FOR THIS KIND OF ADVERTISEMENT...SO GET BUSY AND LET ALL KNOW AND FILE THE PROPER PAPERS WITH THE DA;S GUIDANCE...

THE DA WILL KNOW THE LAW AND HOW IT APPLIES TO WHAT HAPPENED ACROSS STATE LINES OR INTO ANOTHER JURISDICTION AND HOW TO FILE ON THEM.....
