If a medium/light sable is bred with a solid black then will the sable puppies be a medium or dark sable or would the litter have a mix of the two?

ِِِِIf the sable parent has 2 sable color genes you get all litter in sable color, otherwise you might get other colored pups, for the sable pups and in regards to the black color tipping of the hairs, it will be darker than what the sable parent has, but in regards to the marks and underlying color/undercoat, it actually depends on that which is undercovered in the black parent, if it is dark then litter will be mix and if it is light then all will be light in under coat, but again the general look as I said in the beginning will be darker than the sable parent.
From what I hear black parent does not enhance the pigment as a rule, some describe the solid black color as a mask, so it all depends on what marks colors are being masked by the solid black color, if it's rich then most probably it will be passed to the litter to a good extent. Good luck.
