Hi Selvatia Who is your bitch that you have bred to Karat's Ulk??? How is he in reality when you were so close to him during the breeding?

by selvatia on 19 September 2004 - 23:09

Hi Varvatos, My female is Malta vom Arminius, Malta will be bred to Karat's Ulk, She is actually in Germany and she will be in heat maybe in 1 o 2 weeks, then will be bred, is not yet. I think Karat's Ulk as you say in your last message have many things very interested that I liked a lot when I saw him in Karlsruhe, an excelent movement and bitework, and I think he could be a good choice for Malta.

Whao, Wait a minute. This dog Ulk is very good in movement - not excellent. If you want excellent it is Karat's Yoker. Check the stills of each dog on the stud dog page in the database. Yoker is 90 degrees at each end with maximum extension, Ulk is about 105 degrees at each end with somewhat less entension. Quite a difference in ground coverage. In overline (while in motion) Yoker is straight and Ulk is slightly arched.

No one was comparing Yoker to Ulk first off! Secondly your judging dogs off photos "Check the stills of each dog on the stud dog page in the database"! See them in reality. And last this is not geometry nor physics to speak of "degrees"! Yoker is a wonderful dog as well but this post had notting to do with him

I am the guy who has the video from which the DVDs were created. The comment was made that Ulk is an excellent mover. To show that this is not the case I mentioned a dog, Yoker, who is an excellent mover. Then I refered you to the stills so even you could see the difference in great detail. Read your standard it says 90 degrees angulation at each end. I repeat that Ulk is 105 degrees at each end. Got it?

I agree with you Lenny, that's what the DVD shows. I bought your 2004 DVD set of the Sieger Show and it is excellent. The photographic perspective is very good, the video is very clear, the focus good, colors very accurate. Sound is good also. Cost is reasonable too. Many thanks for producing this video for those of us who didn't attend. Very good work on your part.
