Most puppies will have floppy ears at that age, they will probably go up and down whilst the puppy is teething anything up to six months or more, give the puppy some bones or pigs ears to chew this will help and will also strengthen the puppies jaw and help to bring the ears up.

A friend also told me that GSD pups who have late erection of ears are heavy boned..I don't know what's the rationale but is there any truth to that?

My Sky didn't have his ears erect untill three weeks ago. he's is now18 weekks old.
First his ears were floppy, but they would errect when something gets his attention. Then one would lean inwards while the other still was floppy (it was hilarious; as if he was poitning to the right hand direction whith his ears :D).
Then both started to errect slightly but would lean towards each other when his resting. And that's the case till now.
But they getting firmer.
He chews a lot of bones and actually I feed him a bowl of soup (checken or meat soup) with every meal. He eats three times a day.
I know they get firmer by time. Be patient!
